Safety is the number one priority for everyone involved.
Better Vantage Point
- Allows the operator to see the complete operation of the roll-off trailer loading process.
- The wireless remote control’s mobility allows the operator to be located at the rear of the trailer, making sure the container is being properly loaded. This will prevent improper loading and potential container rollovers.
- If operator is at the valve controls (front of trailer), if a cable slips/breaks or trailers begins to tip over, the operator has to run 20′-30′ (hoist height in the raised position) to be out of harm’s way. With this remote, the operator can be at the rear of the trailer and only needs 4′-12′ (container height) to reach a safe distance.
In-cab Controls
- The versatility of the wireless remote allows the operator to remain inside the cab while dumping the container’s contents.
- Many companies have restricted their operators from being outside while in dumping operation.
- Remote comes with an in-cab mounting bracket.
Distances Operator from Tires and Hydraulic Valve
- The freedom of mobility provides a greater chance of safety in the event of a mechanical failure.
- Protects the operator from any hydraulic lines/valves in the event of a rupture.
Brake Control
- Ace’s remote uses a “normally closed” brake valve.
- Only way to release trailer brakes is to be constantly pressing the brake release button.
- If operator trips, falls and/or the button is released, the brakes immediately lock.
- Remote has a built-in fail safe for the brake air supply. If operator releases the brakes more than four times during single operation, the trailer’s air tanks will be void of air and the brakes will be locked until the operator enters the tractor cab to supply the brakes again. This requires the operator to pay attention to the brake control.
Multiple Remotes
- This system was designed for having multiple near field remotes in use at the same time.
- The radio waves will not cross
- Each remote can only operate the matched receiver which is permanently fixed to the trailer.
- One Remote—-> One Receiver
- This way, you could have 100 trailers operating in the same yard with no interference
- Many steel mills and union operated facilities use these remotes for efficiency and safe handling.
Cost Effective
- One Fixed Cost Per Trailer
- The system is fitted to a single trailer, this way every tractor that connects to the trailer will have in cab operation and wireless operation
- Say you have 10 tractors with air controls for 5 roll off trailers. . While an in-cab control system is between $1,800-$3,000 per tractor. An Ace Wireless Remote System only needs to be installed on the trailer.
Durability- Remotes and Receivers
- Shatter Proof
- Waterproof up to 30 meters
- Receiver is sealed in weatherproof box with weatherproof connectors.
Installation
- Easy to install
- Compreshensive installation instructions supplied by Ace based on your existing roll-off trailer
- Uses trailers existing valve, electric lines and airlines
- Manual Valve control still available- does not affect traditional operation
At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is everyone’s safety. If you have a suggestion on how we can make this system safer and more user friendly.
